Great quality
There are several pieces to assemble for this but everything assembled well. The assembly is the peg and twist lock but all the pegs screw into real wood. The piece is very sturdy. We are actually using it for a tv stand in the bedroom and is the perfect size. The 12" deep makes it perfect for that. If using it for a sideboard as intended it may be small to fit larger plates in but overall GREAT PROUDUCT!!!

Looks great, assembly was a giant pain.
Once I got this put together it feels solid and looks really nice in our dining room. We're using it to store wine bottles and some crystal. The only downside was all in the assembly process. I'll lay out my key issues below.
* Soft wood - The wood was very soft, it scratched easily and it was very easy to over tighten screws and cause the wood to split. Not an issue once you get it together but there was a learning curve on the first few screws.
* Poor instructions - The instructions were not detailed, there was very little explanation, just pictures of the required steps in each case. It actually came with a small container of glue to apply to all the wooden dowels. It however was not detailed in the instructions that glue came in the box or should be applied to the dowels. That being the case I ended up not finding the glue until I was almost finished putting the wine rack together. Fortunately, after I put the first two pieces together I saw how wobly...
Very nice piece of furniture, however...
The finished product was very nice, however the getting there was not easy. The assembly instructions were not clear, the pre-drilled holes for the cam nuts were too shallow on certain pieces, there were too few fastners and the fasteners themselves were of poor quality (cam nuts broke very easily). We ended up "improvising" when assembling this piece of furtinure by using household fastners we had on hand. Beware of the "simple assembly required" stated on the description of this item. I would not purchase this item again.
